RCom aims 15% matketshare in Punjab & HP

Reliance Communications, the flagship company of Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, is aiming at over 15 per cent market share in terms of subscriber base in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh during this fiscal.

"Definitely, we want to acquire 15 per cent market share in respect of customers' base in Punjab and HP in this financial year. During last quarter, we achieved a market share of 11 per cent," Reliance Communications CEO (Punjab & HP), N F Aibara said.

Reliance Communications has a subscriber base of 7 lakh and 3 lakh users in Punjab and HP respectively.

Besides working on offering an entire gamut of services, including value added services, the company has plans to penetrate tier II and tier III cities to increase its footprint in these areas by focusing on dealer network.

"We are even going to small cities and towns of Punjab and HP so as to enhance our penetration in these markets," Aibara said while adding that the company has 80 distribution networks in Punjab alone.
