Summoned by the BJP central leadership, Vasundhara Raje on Sunday arrives in New Delhi along with some of her supporters for crucial talks aimed at ending a standoff in the party over her refusal to resign as leader of Opposition in Rajasthan Assembly.

Raje will on Monday meet senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu, appointed as the pointsman to defuse the crisis sparked after BJP president Rajnath Singh asked her to resign as leader of Opposition following the partys defeat in Assembly and Lok Sabha polls.

The partys central leadership had on August 28 summoned her to the capital to meet Naidu after which Raje had affirmed her loyalty to the BJP saying she was a disciplined soldier of the party and its order was supreme to her.

The former chief minister, who claims the support of 70 of the 78 legislators, had said she would like to go for talks as quickly as possible to sort out the problems.

Some of Rajes supporters including Rajendra Rathore, Dushyant Singh and Digambar Singh are accompanying her.
