The Rajasthan High Court on Friday granted bail to actor Salman Khan, who is convicted in the Chinkara poaching case.

The actor's case was listed in the court of Justice H R Panwar after Justice G K Vyas recused himself from hearing Salman's bail plea.

While calling for the case records on Thursday, the judge deferred the hearing and ordered that it be listed for Friday.

Dipesh Mehta, a Mumbai-based lawyer and a Supreme Court advocate Uday Lalit appeared for the actor.

Salman, who was arrested on Saturday, is lodged in Central Jail in Jodhpur after losing his appeal in the district and session court of Jodhpur against his sentence in the chinkara poaching case handed out by the Chief Judicial Magistrate on April 10.
