Domestic cotton arrivals in Indian spot markets till March 27 in the 2010-11 season edged up by 2.32% on year, the state-run Cotton Corp of India said. Arrivals as on March 27 stood at 26.42 million bales of 170 kg each, compared with 25.82 million bales a year ago, the government body said on its website.
NCDEX turnover may grow 40%
National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange, the countrys biggest bourse for trading agricultural futures, said turnover likely climbed about 40% in the fiscal year ending this month. Turnover probably advanced to about R4,600 crore in the 12 months ending March 31, R Ramaseshan, CEO of the exchange, said.
