Soyameal drops 5%

Indian soyameal prices have slid around 5% in the last two weeks as farmers and traders are selling their oilseed reserves ahead of sowing, traders said on Monday. Indian soyameal is being offered at around $365 a tonne to Southeast Asia, down from $385 a tonne.

Gold imports fall

India, the world's top gold buyer saw a sharp cut in imports in June. India's gold imports in June are likely to fall for the third straight month from a year ago, the head of Bombay Bullion Association said on Monday as prices stay firm. Imports might be 75% less than last year. It is because of the high prices, Suresh Hundia, president of the BBA said on Monday.
