Haryana Power Utilities (HPU) commissioned five new substations, augmented capacity of nine existing substations and constructed over 49-km long transmission lines at a cost of Rs 145.43 crore during February. A spokesman for the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) said 400-kv substation at Kirori to evacuate power from Thermal Power Plant Khedar, Hisar. Besides, 132 kv substation HSIIDC, Rohtak, 33 kv substations at village Rajpur, Mastangarh and Bakhtala had been energized to meet the increasing load requirements of the consumers of the areas concerned.
