IDFC invests R100 crore in Manipal servicecorp

IDFC Private Equity has invested R100 crore in Manipal Servicecorp Facility through its fund IDFC Private Equity Fund III. MSFM is promoted by education services and healthcare enterprise Manipal Education & Medical Group. This is the PE firm's second investment in the education services space.

Motorola Mobility shuts down India website

Motorola Mobility has shut down its India-specific product website as part of its global streamlining process. "We are streamlining our business and support systems, and unfortunately, we'll no longer have a dedicated website for India," a message on Motorola Mobility India's website said.

Audi plans to start assembling Q3 in India

German luxury car maker Audi is looking to start assembling SUV Q3 in India at its Aurangabad plant. The car maker at present assembles sedan A4, A6 and SUV Q5, Q7 in India. It plans to have an installed capacity of upto 12,000 cars a year in the country within the next 18-24 months.

TDSAT asks ESPN to continue link with Dish

Broadcast tribunal TDSAT in an interim order has directed ESPN to continue giving its signals to DTH operator Dish TV. It also asked the global sports broadcaster to send its officials to the premises of Dish TV for conducting an audit of the subscriber base and verification of accounts.

Deepak Iyer appointed Wrigley India MD

Confectionery maker Wrigley India said Deepak Iyer has been appointed as the company's managing director. Wrigley, which markets products like Double Mint in India, is a subsidiary of US-based Mars Inc. "This appointment follows the departure of Gautam Sharma, the former MD of Wrigley India who resigned to pursue a new career," the company said in a statement.
