Preity Zinta, who was excited to watch Bang Bang starring Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif, encountered an unpatriotic incident while she was at a renowned multiplex in Mumbai. While it is a well known fact that multiplexes screen the national anthem before a film begins, Preity Zinta was very miffed that a man from the audience did not stand up during the national anthem. Terming this as rather disrespectful, the actress spoke about the incident on Twitter, saying "#bangbang be4 Bang Bang! Had2 throw a guy out of the Theater as he refused 2stand up4 our National Anthem! Can u believe itNow movie time."
Many of them appreciated Preity's move and supported her, stating it as a patriotic move. However, there were a few others who criticized this and questioned the basic democratic rights of a man. Some of them stated that considering that the man paid for the ticket, Preity had no right to ask the man to leave.
Hence, upset with the reactions and responses she received, Preity Zinta not only deleted her tweet but she also clarified her stand on her Twitter handle by revealing that she was not the only one asking the man to leave the premises. Adding further, she mentioned that it was in fact, the audience around who too were troubled by the disrespectful way the man reacted to the national anthem and they had asked him to leave and Preity just expressed her opinion in support of them.
Preity Zinta, who co-owns the Kings XI Punjab IPL team, was last seen in the Bollywood film Ishkq In Paris which was her own production. The actress is also said to star opposite Sunny Deol in his next film titled Bhaiyyaji Superhit.
