Another controversy has erupted in the Indo-Pak cricket scene. Prasar Bharati, which has been given the telecast rights for the Indo-Pak series, refuses to acknowledge its pact with ESPN-Star Sports for sharing match highlights. ESPN-Star Sports claims that the MoU, which was signed last year, is effective even now. ESPN-Star Sports, which has given the public broadcaster time till Monday for a response, is not ruling out legal action to get its due.

Prasar Bharati CEO KS Sarma had earlier indicated to the media that its MoU with ESPN-Star Sports was a one-way contract. But ESPN India managing director RC Venkateish argued: Only last week, Mr Sarma wrote to us, asking for a modification in the contract. That shows that he acknowledged the MoU.
