Pranesh Misra Turns Lowe India COO In Top-level Recast

In a strategic move, Lowe has announced some structural changes at senior levels in the agency. Mr Pranesh Misra has been appointed as president and chief operating officer (COO) of Lowe India, the main advertising agency in the Lintas India group.

Incidentally, Mr Pranesh has worked in the Lintas Worldwide group for over 23 of his 26 years working career -- both internationally and in India.

Mr Misra will now manage the business together with two senior colleagues namely Mr Fali Vakeel and R Balalkrishnan. Mr Vakil has recently assumed charge of all Lowe operations in Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkatta and Chennai as group vice-president and executive director. Mr Fali is a seasoned advertising professional, who has been with the group for over 22 years. R Balakrishnan, will continue to lead the agencys creative product as the executive creative director.

With these changes, Ms Lynn de Souza, one of the respected professionals in the area of Media in India, will return to initiative media and allied media businesses effective March 1, 2003 as director: Media Services and Healthcare.

Meanwhile, Mr Ashish Bhasin will move to head the integrated communications businesses like Lowe Personal (CRM/direct marketing), Linterland (rural communications), Lintertainment (entertainment consultancy), LinOpinion (public relations), Advent (events marketing), dCell (design consultancy), and Aaren Initiative (outdoor media).

His move as Director: Integrated Marketing Communications will be effective March 1, 2003.
