Percept Picture Company (PPC) will soon launch a wholly owned subsidiary for animation called Percept Animation. Shailendra Singh, joint managing director, Percept Ltd confirmed the news and said, ?We have started work on kids? films that will cater from mythological live action to animation films. There are 16 kids? films that are lined up for production by percept animation.?

After the success of Percept?s ?Hanuman? and ?Return of Hanuman?, the next 3D animation film that is due for a June release from the Percept stable is ? Jumbo?, a 3D animation film based on the life of an elephant. Pegged to be made at a budget close to $6 to 8 million, the film will be India ?s first big budget 3D offering to Bollywood.

Abhishek Nayyar, manager marketing and public relations, PPC, said, ?We have finalised seven products in animation and we will be managing all aspects of these films, including gaming and merchandising.?
