Peda inks pact with BPCL

Punjab Energy Development Agency (Peda) signed MoU with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) to setup 1mw solar photovoltaic power plant at Lalru in Punjab.

The MoU was signed in presence of Bikramjit Singh Majithia, minister science, technology, environment & Net-Centric Enterprise Services (NCES) by TPS Sidhu, CEO, Peda and AK Bansal, executive, director, corporate affairs, BPCL. The plant would be run on Build, Operate and Own (BOO) basis at Lalru in Mohali district.

Speaking on this occasion Majithia said this plant is a path-braking project as it will be first of its kind project in the country being implemented by a petroleum company. He said that Peda was in touch with other petroleum companies like HPCL, IOC, BP to setup such plants in the state.
