Four months after his party suffered defeat in the Lok Sabha polls, former Finance Minister and Congress veteran P Chidambaram has made a comeback to the Supreme Court to practice law.

A designated senior advocate, Chidambaram appeared for Reliance Infra Ltd before a Bench and made brief submissions. The dispute between Reliance Infra and a consortium of GVK and Larsen & Toubro relates to a couple of hydropower projects.

Chidambaram enrolled as a lawyer in the Madras High Court and He became a senior advocate in 1984. He had offices in Delhi and Chennai and practised in various high courts of India.
