Over 25 Firms From China To Take Part In Convergence 2003

In what reflects the business interest of Chinese companies in the Indian telecom sector, more than 25 firms from China will participate in the communication industry eventConvergence India 2003to be held in New Delhi next month.

Companies from France and the United States will also take part in the exhibition cum conference. In all, around 16 companies from the US and 14 companies from France are in the list of exhibitors. ]The companies from Canada, Germany, Korea, Israel, Taiwan, Hongkong, Norway and Australia are also expected to take part in the event, according to a press note released by the organisers, Exhibition India.

The Convergence India 2003 will be held from March 11-13, 2003. The focus of the event would be on Broadband Show for New Generation Communications, to link broadband options in the digital marketplace with cutting edge technologies in the field of broadband networking infrastructure and services.

The event will highlight new developments and products in the areas of satellite communications, high-speed digital network for the distribution of digital entertainment, interactive services, multimedia communications, technical equipment as well as the software solutions.

The event will also have special country pavilions for China, France, Israel, the UK and the US. Incidentally, France is the partner country of the event. The initiative is supported by UBI France, the French Agency for International Business Development that assists French companies to develop and establish stronger international contacts. UBI France also offers expertise in the promotion of French technology, products and services.
