The Delhi Golf Club Members Association has moved an application in the Delhi high court against the discrimination meted out to the mid-week and C members of the club who do not have voting rights. Justice SK Mahajan issued notices to the government and to the Delhi Golf Club. Mr Vikas Singh appeared on behalf of the aggrieved members, while Jayant Bhushan appeared on behalf of the government.
While the same subscription amount is paid by all the members, it is only the A category members, who constitute a small percentage, enjoy voting rights. As such, they have the entire control of the club in their hands, said Rajpal S Chowdhury who is not an A category member.
