Ever since the erstwhile development financial institution, Industrial Development Bank of India, got converted into a banking company and the subsequent merger of the banking arm with itself, there has been nomenclature confusion about the merged entity (?Industrial Development Bank of India is now IDBI Bank?, May 8). While those in the banking industry know the technicalities involved in the process of change, the common man?whose trust is crucial?was at a loss to understand it. Now that the bank has finally changed its name to IDBI Bank, all such confusion would hopefully come to an end.
