Congress president Sonia Gandhi has no regrets about rejecting the Prime Ministers post when the UPA came to power nearly two years ago.

I am satisfied... 100%. It was a right decision. I have no regrets whatsoever, she said replying to a question. Ms Gandhi was asked whether she felt her decision to lead only the party was in retrospect a right decision.

Ms Gandhi also made those present at the summit break into smiles when she said Indian politicians did not have weekends. In politics in India, one would need to be always available which is not the case in Japan, where they have weekends. No such luck for us, she said. She was replying to a question from a Japanese delegate about when she proposed to visit his country.
