Niryat Shree Award For RIL

Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) is among the top 109 companies selected for the Niryat Shree award instituted by the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (Fieo) for its outstanding export performance during 2000-01 and 2001-02. As a Fieo member and a super star trading house, RIL posted an export turnover of $2.3 billion during 2001-02.

The award will be in the form of a gold trophy for 2000-01 and silver trophy for 2001-02. Punjab National Bank, State Bank of Patiala, State Bank of India and Canara Bank, besides export promotion councils (EPCs) and commodity boards have also been made eligible by the federation for the Niryat Bandhu award for the two years recognising their contribution to the export effort. In addition, two former bureaucrats (who were earlier commerce secretaries) Tejendra Khanna and PP Prabhu will be given special awards by Fieo for their outstanding contribution to commerce and industry.
