Oil India profit up 23.5%
Oil India Ltd has reported a 23.5% jump in net profit to Rs 717.28 crore for the third quarter on the back of higher price-realisation for the crude oil it produces, OIL CMD NM Borah said. OIL got $58.78 per barrel for the crude oil it produced after paying a fuel subsidy of $15.11 per barrel. The company had in the year-ago period realised $37.48 per barrel after paying the fuel subsidy of $16.79 per barrel.
Rel Cap profit slides 52%
Reliance Capital has reported a 52% decline in its consolidated net profit at Rs 63 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2009. Lower capital gains were booked in the quarter, owing to the planned partial stake sale later this year in the operating businesses, subject to necessary approvals, the company said. Total income declined to Rs 1,488.8 crore from Rs 1,573.5 crore.
Thermax profit drops 21.85%
Thermax Ltd on Saturday announced 21.85% fall in its net profit to Rs 56.50 crore during the third quarter ended December 2009 against Rs 72.30 crore. Net sales during the quarter stood at Rs 726.27 crore, down 7.83% from Rs 788 crore. The companys revenues from the energy segment dipped to Rs 560.27 crore against Rs 628.34 crore last year. However, revenues from the environment segment increased to Rs 203.10 crore.
