Need to anchor inflation prospects: RBI

It would be ideal and possible to bring Indian inflationary expectations as close to the levels of global inflation, its central bank governor said on Wednesday. Reserve Bank of India Governor Yaga Venugopal Reddy was speaking to reporters a day after it raised banks' cash reserve requirements by 25 basis points to 8.25 percent but kept its other policy rates unchanged.
