NECDS, which offer design and production services of visual display technology, said under a joint marketing partnership, it would sell displays of 15 inches, 17 inches and 19 inches through TPV's sales and service network in India. The alliance was also expected to pave way for improved sales and boost brand awareness in Indian market for both companies.
The companies first formed an alliance in 2005, to market LCD displays jointly in Indian market.
IT distributor company Cyberstar will act as the national sub-distributor for NEC displays, TPV said.
NECDS' president Yoshiaki Tsuda said the Indian environment was ideal for NEC's displays, which would lower total cost of ownership.
TPV deals with CRT, LCD displays and flat televisions and is listed on Hong Kong and Singapore stock exchanges. NEC focuses on desktop, large screen and plasma displays and projectors and has been with TPV as contract manufacturer for nearly five years.
