Their pet grouse: The partys recent electoral losses. Attacking Mr Naidu, senior TDP leader K Siva Prasad Rao charged the TDP president of neglecting committed party workers by supporting anti-party supporters. He further labeled Mr Naidu as destroyer of NT Rama Rao, the founder of the party, and his policies. He is supported by other ministerial colleagues who also have problems with the Naidu style of functioning.
Reacting to such criticism, Mr Naidu warned partymen to clear their doubts across the table and not through media.
Interestingly, Mr Naidu, who was the uncrowned king of TDP for a decade , received brickbats from his party colleagues on his 55th birthday. Sources said there are about 18 legislators among the dissidents group who wanted Mr Naidu to cut ties with the BJP and revive efforts to align with the Left parties, both at the state and national level.
Political analysts say that Mr Naidu may take a final decision on the partys relationship with the BJP before local body elections take place.
