Mumbai Auto Show To Hit The Roads On Jan 23

The third Mumbai Auto Show, which kicks off on January 23, will have participants from 75 companies. The four-day event will have Tata Engineering, Mahindra & Mahindra, Maruti, TVS, Yamaha, Piaggio and Kinetic, taking part, among others.

The CII-organised event will showcase the latest in automobiles (passenger cars and two-wheelers) accessories, fuels and lubricants, garage equipment, auto finance and insurance companies, environment and safety equipment. According to one report, with greater disposable incomes, falling interest rates and a spectrum of choices before the consumer, auto sales are expected to move northward by 9.5 per cent CAGR by the year 2006-07.

Car sales are expected to breach the 9.09 lakhs unit milestone.
