MTV, Zee Turner bring VH1 channel

MTV Networks and Zee-Turner (the distribution arm of Zee Telefilms) have joined hands to bring VH1. VH1 is a 24-hour pay channel for international music. According to an MTV spokesperson, currently the channel is free-to-air.

However, from January 1, 2004, it will be a pay channel. Alex Kuruvilla, managing director, MTV Networks said, with VH1, we are set to further our lead in the music space.

VH1 has a 20-year old library. Lakshmi Goel, chairman, Zee-Turner Ltd said, We are pleased to have signed up with MTV Networks India for carriage of VH1 on the Zee-Turner distribution platform.
