The stage is all set for the customers making mobile-to-mobile national long distance (NLD) calls, to choose STD operators between state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd and Indiaone of Bharti from Saturday, with the private operator getting a nod from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) for the purpose. Though the cellular operators had earlier announced reduction in rates on mobile-to-mobile STD calls from January 26, the effect of the then proposed slash was somewhat neutralised when BSNL reduced its STD rates significantly. — PTI
