Announcing the launch of the facility at a press conference here, Ken Kinsella, CEO & president of Mensamind Inc, the US-based parent company, said that the new ITES centreMensamind OneWorldwill deliver solutions in the area of proprietory and patentable high-end strategic services, full digital asset life-cycle management services, technical support and telemarketing for software products.
The new facility, which will have a capacity of 500 seats in the next 12 months, will also address transactional processing and high-value services in legal, finance, human resources, engineering and healthcare, Mr Kinsella added.
The company has already roped in six clients to start with and is in negotiations with few more. They are long-term and strategic contracts and hope to do good business, he said.
In order to further augment the companys operations in India, and to float new units in Europe and the UK, the company has decided to raise $12 million from the markets. It could be through debt or venture capital fund or institutional funds, Mr Kinsella said.
Mensamind has also appointed leading consultants Ernst & Young (E&Y) to help raise the said $12 million funds from the markets, Mr Kinsella added.
In July, Divines senior officials resigned from the company and floated Mensamind in order to acquire management control of Divine India, since the former was forced to close their worldwide operations due to a financial crisis. Following this, Mensamind decided to diversify into the ITES sector as its sees large potential, apart from a strong client base for its IT services.
