MBT plans BPO foray

Mahindra-British Telecom (MBT), India's 8th largest software exporter and one of the largest telecom solutions provider, is making a foray into business process outsourcing (BPO) segment and also into development of telecom equipment manufacturers (TEM) sector to improve margins and garner more business.

MBT forays is planning to offer end-to-end services to its BPO customers.

Already the company has started a pilot study of its business processors with about 500 officials in Pune and Mumbai. Now MBT will also move away from its traditional western India stronghold, to Kolkata, Noida and Bangalore.
