Managers Gear Up For Nities Lakshya 2003

Corporate professionals from sectors like pharma, retail and logistics along with several small and medium sized firms will compete in Lakshya 2003 at Nitie, Mumbai. It is an annual event hosted by the institute where managers from various companies compete by presenting projects that they have successfully undertaken in the company. This year the event is scheduled to be held on August 8 and 9, 2003.

Another new introduction this year is the LakshyaBusiness Visionary Award. The award will be presented to Godrej Group chairman Adi Godrej and Aditya Birla Group chairman Kumarmangalam Birla.

Elaborating on the event Nitie faculty Ashok Pundir said: The flagship event offers a platform to practicing managers to present any path-breaking project to their credit. These projects will be presented before a jury comprising industry stalwarts who have left their mark in their respective fields.

This year too the event has four modules viz. supply chain management, operations management, systems & IT management and general & HR management. According to the institute, the award is an acknowledgement of the contribution made by professionals to India Inc. Events like Lakshya strengthen the bond between industry and the institute and help students assimilate successful business practices.
