Addressing a press conference here Thursday, Logitech Asia Pacific vice president, sales and marketing, Gavin Wu, said that the company has been present in the Indian market since 1990. The company has now decided to set up a wholly-owned Indian subsidiary, which will be under Logitech Hong Kong, he said.
According to Mr Wu, the company has devised a three-pronged strategy to consolidate in the Indian market. Improve the penetration into the retail market by venturing into smaller towns and cities, organise roadshows to increase product awareness, and set up branded showrooms of Logitech here, he said.
The company is also planning to introduce corded and cordless headsets for mobile phones based on Bluetooth technology in India, Mr Wu added.
