KRL Net Profit Surges To Rs 165 Cr

Kochi Refineries Ltd (KRL), a subsidiary of BPCL, has reported Rs 122.77 crore rise in net profit during the first nine months of this fiscal due to better prices, higher margins and lesser expenses.

A statement from the refinery managing director said, net profit rose to Rs 165.35 crore compared to Rs 42.62 crore during the corresponding period last year. The net profit for the whole of last fiscal was Rs 68.77 crore. The gross refinery margin for the nine months was 938 per tonne compared to Rs 845 per tonne during the same period last year. Net sales and income from operation went up to Rs 7,353.93 crore compared to Rs 5,093.64 crore last year. Net sales and income from operation during the whole of last fiscal was Rs 6,762.08 crore. The profit before tax was Rs 265.85 crore (Rs 62 crore).
