At a recent press conference to launch his Kolkata Knight Riders? music album (no, not part of the ?kit?), sponsored by Nokia and T-Series, SRK had the audience in splits. One budding scribe asked SRK his response to reports in a business daily that his firm, Dreamz Unlimited, is getting into real estate. Apparently, the company was also setting up a ?park? of sorts in Delhi. Giving the questioner a characteristic quizzical glance, the actor said, ?I guess that?s why I always tell journalists not to believe in what they write.?

It was pandemonium of sorts at a recently held International Cricket Council (ICC) press briefing. Its PR agency sent an invitation for 11.30 am, but the event eventually started only at 2.30 pm. Next, while all sports reporters from India?s leading dailies got an exclusive interview session with ICC?s chief Malcolm Speed at 9.30 am in the morning, the financial dailies and electronic media were kept in the dark. Also, colleagues from the electronic media were allowed a quota of ?three questions each? to ask Speed, and were politely pushed away if they attempted a fourth. As if this were not enough, scribes from the print media were told that Speed would not take any questions at all from them.
