J&K attracts Rs 2,500-cr investment

Asserting that industrial climate in Jammu and Kashmir would increase with improvement in the law and order situation, the state government on Thursday claimed it has received Rs 2,500 crore in investment from other parts of the country in the past two years.

"We have received around Rs 2,500 crore in investments in the past two years. We are hopeful that more investments will follow as the situation improves and investors have more confidence in the state," principal secretary industries and commerce, A Sahasaranaman, told reporters after a convention organised by Punjab, Haryana and Delhi Chamber of Commerce and Industry here.
