Jindal Vijayanagar sees bulk deal on BSE

Two bulk deals took place on The Stock Exchange, Mumbai (BSE) in the stock of Jindal Vijayanagar Steel Ltd (JVSL) around mid-afternoon. In the first deal, ICICI Bank Ltd sold 41.5 lakh shares at Rs 371 a share. The buyer was Jindal Thermal Power Company. The deal size worked out to Rs 153.96 crore.

In the second deal, Reliance Mutual Fund Equity Opportunity Fund purchased 8.97 lakh JVSL shares at Rs 371 a share. The deal size was Rs 33.29 crore. On BSE, the total volumes traded in the JVSL counter was 60.13 lakh shares as compared to its two-week average traded quantity of 29.42 lakh shares. The stock touched an intra-day high at Rs 393.1 and a day-low of Rs 371. It finally closed the day with a gain of Rs 9.15, or 2.48% at Rs 377.8. It had touched a 52-week high of Rs 457.7 on March 23.
