Jet Air Forms Executive Panel To Look After Day-to-day Management

Jet Airways has set up an executive committee to look after the day-to-day management of the airline. According to a company release issued here on Tuesday, the decision follows the resignation of the Jet airways CEO Steve Forte. Mr Forte has cited personal reasons for his resignations which comes into effect from Dec1, 2002.

The committee has been set up under the supervision of the Jet Airways chairman Naresh Goyal and will be presided by the executive director of the airline Saroj Datta. The other members of the executive committee wil comprise of senior executive heads of the operational departments.

The executive committee will be jointly responsible for operations of the company and policy formulation. "The chairman and the board of directors have put in place a new management structure to provide continuity in leadership, policy and strategy formulation and carry on the important business of the airline, " the press release stated.
