Jaswant to attend his book launch in Pak

Expelled BJP leader Jaswant Singh is likely to visit Pakistan next month for the launch of his controversial book Jinnah: India, Partition, Independence, his publisher said on Tuesday.

The promotional event will start in a few days. We are in talks with our counterparts in Pakistan to fix up a date for the launch, R K Mehra, chairman of Rupa and Company, said.

Asked if Singh would be part of the launch, they said, He is the author. What would be a book launch without him Earlier reports had suggested that Singh may be undertaking the visit this week but his office here clarified that he had no such plan.

The publishers have planned out a series of promotional activity across the country, including launches at Bangalore, Kolkata, Chennai and Hyderabad among others.

Mehra said, We have received orders from London, Bangladesh and Abu Dhabi. The subject of partition has been a subject of great interest anywhere in world.
