Coming weeks after the launch of the Asus Zenfone series in India, Intel and Croma on Thursday announced the launch of tablets and 2-in-1s powered by the chipmaker?s processors.
The eight-inch Croma 1179 tablet and 10-inch Croma 1177 2-in-1 will both run Windows 8.1 and will be powered by Intel Atom Z3735D 1.33 GHz processors. While the smaller one will be a Wi-Fi tablet, the 2-in-1 will have slot for a 3G. Both are compatible with wireless dongles.
The devices are competitively priced at Rs 13,990 and Rs 21,990.
The 8-inch tablet will come with 2MP cameras in the front and rear and will have 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. It will have a 5000 mAh.
The 10.1-inch device will be the lowest priced 2-in-1 in the Indian market and could find takers because it will come pre-burned with Microsoft Office 365. Combined with the inbuilt SIM slot, this could make the 2-in-1 a good option for those who have to work on then go.
The devices will initially be available only in Croma stores and their online retail site.
