However, the fact that there has been no hiring for an entire year has put experienced talent at short supply. When IT industry is becoming more consultancy-driven, people experienced in customer and employee- management along with technology, are more in demand. For sourcing experienced people, IT companies may have to look around at its peers, he said.
People sourcing is one of the biggest challenges that IT industry will face during its growth push. Earlier, the industry was small. As it grows big, the recruiting numbers begin to loom large. For example, when Infosys is broadbasing to new services, we would need new people with expertise in these disciplines. So hiring is challenging.
