Inflation-indexed certificates soon: Finance ministry

India will soon come up with inflation-linked savings certificate to neutralise the impact of rising prices and encourage retail savers to invest more, Rajat Bhargava, joint secretary (Budget), finance ministry, said at an event on Wednesday.

The ministry and the RBI have been planning to convert inflation-indexed bonds into consumer-inflation linked savings certificate worth R5,000-10,000 crore to be issued from November, according to government sources.
