The Russian Federation is eyeing sectors such as IT, space, aviation, nano- and biotechnology in the Indian sub-continent.

Vyacheslav I Trubnikov, ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation, in an interactive session organised by the Bharat Chamber of Commerce on Friday, said "trade between the two nations touched Rs 19,500 crore in 2007 and is expected to be around Rs 39,000 crore by 2010."

Trubnikov said nuclear reactors are still not installed in the Kundankulam nuclear power stations, a joint venture between Russia and India in Tamil Nadu. "It will take another year to be completed," he said.
