This conference will symbolise the political will on all sides to complement and reinforce Indo-Arab bilateral relations. Over the years, the volume of bilateral trade has increased immensely and investment projects are being executed successfully by both sides.
The aim of the summit includes creating awareness on emerging economic trends and outlook in both the regions, discussing issues of concern related to trade and investment and the prospects of joint ventures.
Officials said that participation by Arab business representatives is of much significance, especially in the light of increasing bilateral trade between the two nations.
Indias main exports items to the region include agricultural products, textile goods, gems and jewellery, software services and technology, engineering goods, chemicals and leather products while its main import commodities are crude oil, machinery, gems, fertiliser and chemicals.
