Indian Infotech Companies Expect Rs 200 Cr In Business From CeBIT Contacts

Indian software companies, which participated in the recently concluded global IT show, CeBIT, expect to generate business worth Rs 200 crore as a direct result of the event.

The Indian exhibitors included Aptech Worldwide, I-cope Technologies, Intelligroup, Mascot Systems, B2B Software and Pramati Software among others.

These companies participated in networking events organised during the show that also included a contact meeting of the Indo-German delegations held in Hamburg.

A seminar was also held by BITKOM (the German Association of Information and Communication Technology) in Hanover to promote IT outsourcing to India. Nasscom also signed an MoU with BITKOM to explore opportunities for collaboration and to encourage trade in the ICT industries of India and Germany.

This year the fair was visited by more than 750,000 people. A total of 7,962 exhibitors from 73 countries exhibited their products in an area covering 425,268 square meters.
