IIM-K Annual Management Fest From Nov 15

The Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, (IIM-K) is conducting its annual management meet Horizons: Exploring the Frontiers of Management on November 15 and 16 covering various themes from the manufacturing sector to brand wars.

According to academicians at the institute, this would be the fourth annual management seminar and is being held for the first time at its own campus.

Presentations by professionals and noted personalities from within and outside the country would focus on themes such as Indian manufacturingcoming of age; Knowledge workersinternational pulls and national pressures; Build-to-order banking; Brand warsphantom menace or attack of the clones; and Integrating operational risk into risk management systems. The concluding session would have a panel discussion on The lame blame game: Board versus management versus society.

According to the academicians, fresh challenges in the form of new technology and hyper competition were making for a dynamic and complex environment in which the test of fitness was not only surviving, but also thriving. The meet was being held to understand and discuss these changes.
