IEEMA to host Elecrama-2002 from tomorrow

The Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers Association (IEEMA) will host Elecrama-2002, a six-day exhibition of electrical and industrial electronics industry in Asia and the Middle-East in Mumbai from tomorrow.

"We have more than 1,000 companies participating in this fifth largest electrical and electronics exhibition and expect to draw over one lakh business visitors," IEEMA vice-president and chairman of Elecrama organising committee RN Mukhija said here on Sunday.

"The event is expected to provide a direct interface to manufacturers with their direct customers and also address the concerns of the electrical and electronic industry as well," Mr Mukhija said.

As a new initiative, he said ELECRAMA would have a+design point+ a special pavilion for engineering students, who would display their innovative products and designs for the industry.

A separate enclosure called +Procurement Park+ has beenplanned where representatives of major procurement ministries, like power, defence, railways would be present to inform exhibitors and visitors the details regarding purchase, policies and procedure to procure products. — PTI
