IDEAS Expands Indian Operations

Integrated Decisions and System Inc.(IDEAS), a player in the global hospitality industry, expanded its Indian operations with the opening of a new facility that will house 70 people. IDEAS is also setting up an incubation centre at its Indian subsidiary to offer hand-holding services to smaller American companies wishing to set up shop in India.

IDEASs Indian subsidiary, Integrated Decisions and Systems India Private Limited Inc (India), was set up at the STPI-Pune incubation centre with three people and we have grown to 70 in three years, Ed Booth, CEO & president, IDEAS Inc said. We are among Americas fastest growing technology companies with a triple-figure growth rate, Booth said. The company has been funded by Morgan Stanley Ventures, Sutter Hill Venture Partners and St Paul Ventures.

IDEAS offers revenue management and optimization solutions to the large hotel chains to manage complex market segmentation, packaging, pricing and inventory management guaranteeing increases in revenues and profit-margins. All development work is being done exclusively in India. IDEAS India also provides 7/24 support to clients of IDEAS Inc. worldwide.

The company is now working on a solutions for smaller hotels, entertainment destinations and the retail market, Booth said. IDEAS has also bagged a consultancy contract from the second largest travel portal, Xpedia.

About 50 per cent of our business is from the Americas, 30 per cent from Europe and 20 per cent from Asia, Booth said. IDEAS clientele includes

Hyatt International, Hilton International, Six Continents, Kempinski Hotels and resorts, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Conard Hotels and Shangri-La among others.
