ICICI Infotech To Hire 1,000 Software Pros By 2005

ICICI Infotech Services Limited, the IT company promoted by ICICI Bank, is planning to hire 1,000 software professionals at its existing software development centres by 2005. It is currently running centres in Mumbai, Chennai and Bangalore with 1,400 employees.

We have a capacity to accommodate another 1,000 people in our centres and within two years we will run at full capacity as we are getting enough business, ICICI Infotech Limited executive director Manoj Kunkalienkar told eFE.

The Rs 231-crore ICICI Infotech offers over 12 products in the verticals including infrastructure, e-governance, security, enterprise resource product (ERP), banking, insurance, customer relationship management (CRM), etc.

Further, the company is targeting 25 per cent of revenues coming from products for this fiscal ending March 2004 as compared to only 10 per cent from products in the last fiscal. The rest 75 per cent is expected to accrue from services.

We are looking at pushing our products in the various international markets as well as the domestic market, Mr Kunkalienkar said. We will soon enter into a technology alliance with an existing datawarehousing player as this will complement our current offerings, he said.
