ICICI Info Sees More Revenues From ERP

The enterprise solutions division of ICICI Infotech is likely to contribute 15 per cent to ICICI Infotechs topline, according to the company officials. The IT solutions provider, ICICI Infotech is targeting a revenue of Rs 250 crore for this fiscal ending March 2003.

The enterprise resource planning (ERP) is growing in India and we have just hit the iceberg. In the last fiscal, our enterprise solutions contributed less than 5 per cent to the total revenue of the company, ICICI Infotech head of enterprise solutions group Hari Padmanabhan said.

At a press gathering, the company officials shared the latest ERP implementation for SRF Polymers. ICICI Infotech entered into a contract with SRF polymers to implement Orion, the companys ERP product across its three businesses (engineering plastics, fishnet twines and polyester films.

The value of the deal was not disclosed due to the non-disclosure agreement. ICICI Infotech has invested $2 million in its development centre in Chennai with over 200 people dedicated to ERP.

We are looking at investing another $1.5 million in the development centre in the coming fiscal, Mr Padmanabhan said.

The enterprise solutions division of ICICI Infotech targets companies in the mid-segment in the verticals like process manufacturing, distribution, retail, insurance and banking, etc.

We will be hiring another 70 odd people in the coming six months for implementation and sales activities, he said.

Orion offers open architecture, scalability and short implementation time which is essential for any organisation preparing itself for challenges, Mr Padmanabhan said.
