IBP posts net profit at Rs 12.44 crore

IBP Company Ltd, the standalone oil marketing company, has posted a net profit of Rs 12.44 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 58.87 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005. Total income has increased from Rs 13,664 crore to Rs 15,818 crore during this period. During the quarter ended March 31, 2006, net profit has reached Rs 533.27 crore as compared to Rs 226.42 crore.

Lupin net zooms

Lupin Ltd has posted 116.59% increase in net profit at Rs 182.72 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006, as compared to Rs 84.36 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005. Consequently, the company has reported a 42.26% rise in total income from Rs 1,179.90 crore during the year ended March 31, 2005 to Rs 1,678.61 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006.

BRPL net drops 41%

State-run Bongaigaon Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd (BRPL) on Wednesday posted a 40.54% decline in net profit at Rs 30.65 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2006, as compared to Rs 51.55 crore for the same quarter in last fiscal. The total income (net of excise) grew 20.96% to Rs 1490.72 crore for the quarter ended March 31, as against Rs 1232.33 crore in the year-ago period.

Eveready bottomline up 69%

Dry battery maker Eveready Industries India Ltd has reported 69% growth in its bottom line in 2005-06 which reached Rs 79.65 crore from Rs 46.31 crore earned during 2004-05. Its income from operations rose by about 12%, from Rs 655 crore to Rs 733 crore. The figures exclude the operations of BPL Energy Soft, which Eveready acquired during the year. The company earned an income of Rs 76.62 crore from sale of real estates in Chennai.

Asahi revenues up

India's largest glass company, Asahi India Glass (AIS), on Tuesday reported gross sales of Rs 703.16 crore forFY 05-06, up 1.7% from last year. Operating profit slipped 4.6% to Rs 122.92 crore..
