‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ box office collections hit Rs 67.19 cr, 6th highest in 2014

Varun Dhawan-Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ (HSKD) managed to post impressive box office collections. The film produced by Dharma Productions is still doing well with box office collections of Rs 67.19 crore.

The first position is still held by Salman Khan’s Jai Ho (Rs 166 crore), followed by Holiday – A Solider is Never Off Duty (Rs 112.45 crore), Ek Villain (Rs 105.62 crore), 2 States (Rs 102.13 crore) and Gunday (Rs 78.60 crore) in 5th position.

Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania had also collected Rs 13.88 crore in its second weekend making it the fourth highest second weekend grosser. On the other hand, Akshay Kumar’s Holiday – A Solider is Never Off Duty stands at the first position with its collection of Rs 19.52 crore, followed by Ek Villain (Rs 15.68 cr) and 2 States (Rs 15.53 cr). Salman’s ‘Jai Ho’, however, is down at fifth position with its collection of Rs 13.8 crore.

Alia Bhatt’s latest had generating over Rs 20 core in just two days. While the opening day box office collections of ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ was Rs 9.02 crore, the film collected Rs 11.25 on Saturday and yhe Sunday figure then jumped to Rs 13.46 crore, taking the overall first weekend total to Rs 33.74 crore.
