Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Bang Bang’ makes startling box office collections U-turn after falling to a new low of Rs 4.9 crore on Day 9 (Friday).
‘Bang Bang’ box office collections, which have been falling steadily over the last few days, are back in the reckoning for b.O. glory with business picking up on the second weekend.
The film’s collections touched to Rs 6.3 crore on Day 10 (Saturday) before jumping to Rs 8.03 crore on Day 11 (Sunday) as moviegoers opted to watch the Hrithik Roshan-Katrina starrer instead of the new releases on Friday.
The net ‘Bang Bang’ box office collections now stand at Rs 154.68 crore from the domestic market alone. It is now the 9th biggest grosser in Bollywood and sensationally is within striking distance of Salman Khan’s ‘Dabangg 2’, which made Rs 155 crore.
Now the question in everyone’s mind is whether ‘Bang Bang’ will manage to become the sixth film to enter the Rs 200 crore club (domestic), which has Dhoom 3, Krrish 3, Kick, Chennai Express and 3 Idiots as members at present.
With the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’ more than 10 days away, Hrithik Roshan-starrer might just scrape through to touch the magical mark and from an also-ran, actually come into the limelight as one of the top movies of not just of 2014, but also all-time – Monday’s take will show the way forward. Stay tunes..
