Housing plan for senior citizens in Amritsar

Focusing on providing community living for senior citizens, Impact Group has launched its project- Impact Senior Living Estates at Amritsar. To be constructed at a cost of Rs 30 crore, the first phase of the project will have 50 dwelling units priced between Rs 11.5 lakh to 37 lakh. The project is aimed at providing a unique lifestyle to people over 55 years based on the key attributes of wholesome quality living, including healthcare and wellness, hospitality, engagement, financial planning and security.

Harpal Singh, chairman, Impact Group, told FE, The first phase of project is now under construction and will be ready by April 2012. Its a five-acre community-in-community concept integrated functionally with a larger premium, residential colonyImpact Gardens spread over 50 acre. The cost of the project can go up to Rs 50 crore for 100 dwelling units by the end of 2012. It can further escalate to Rs 170 crore for a total of 300 units to be developed in later phases.

Service delivery at ISLE will be provided from a centralized platform and delivered by staff trained in hospitality and the specific needs of senior citizens. ISLE facilities are being planned to be set up across the country in suburban regions, religious hubs, hill stations and coastal areas. Singh further added, We have identified land (about 50 acre) in Solan region of Himachal Pradesh.
